Tim is a good friend of mine. You will also be hard pressed to find a nicer and more talented man. He is passionate about his writing and books and doesn’t accept anything other than the best. He has a great sense of humor. If you don’t know him or read his books I strongly recommend you hurry up and get one right now! Which book you ask? It doesn’t matter they are all good! Please welcome Tim Miller…..
1. How old were you when you first wrote your first story?
I’m not even sure. I think in the first grade or so. We were assigned to write a story about a picture and the teacher said mine was the most detailed and longest.
2. How many books have you written?
Right around thirty or so I think.
3. Anything you won’t write about?
Not really…I’ve covered a wide range of topics. The one thing I usually avoid mostly is hurting animals. Sometimes an animal may get killed if it is part of the story and moves it along. But people seem ok with human rape and torture and even children to some extent, but will go nuts over animals. So I just prefer to avoid it.
4. Tell me about you. Age (if you don’t mind answering), married, kids, do you have another job etc…
I’m 42, married with 2 step kids and one daughter. I currently write full time and hope to for a long time.
5. What’s your favorite book you have written?
That’s such a hard question lol. All of them furthered my career in some way and I was at a different place in my life for each one. So hard to pinpoint just which if my favorite
6. Who or what inspired you to write?
Its just one of the few things I’ve always been good at. Ever since I was a kid writing was always something I could escape to or use to entertain people. So there is no one person or event that got me to write.
7. What do you like to do for fun?
I love to read, watch movies and even though it’s technically “Work” I love going to conventions and meeting fans and other guests and seeing all the cool costumes.
8. Any traditions you do when you finish a book?
Not really. I get done with one and get started on the next one right away.
9. Where do you write? Quite or music?
I write in my living room in my recliner. Usually with the TV on. Especially watching Deadpool.
10. Anything you would change about your writing?
I sometimes wish I wrote longer books lol. Most people tell me my books are too short, but many feel they are a good length at around 35,000 words each. I’ve tried longer stories but found I was padding a lot of it.
11. What is your dream? Famous writer?
I just want to continue doing what I’m doing. Maybe see one of my books made into film one day and get a large enough readership I’m not living royalty check to royalty check.
12. Where do you live?
13. What’s your favorite thing about writing?
I like being able to make up crazy stuff and share it with people. I love the interactions with fans and readers and always fun having people tell me how much they love my work. I’m always astounded so many people read and enjoy it.
