Joseph Parry is an amazing guy. He is smart, talented and has a terrific sense of humor! His photographs are breath-taking and I could look at them for hours. Every time I look at one I notice something I didn’t see before. That being said I would be proud to hang any of his pictures in my home. He also has musical ability and can sing and play guitar. He is my friend and simply amazing. If you don’t know him please make sure to introduce yourself. You won’t be sorry you took the time to get to know him! Use the link below to see some of his amazing pictures.
1. How old were you when you first took your first picture?
Hmm, tough one, first picture as a photographer or first picture EVER? Ever I couldn’t tell you, not a clue, as a photographer back in January 2015!
2. How many photo shoots have you done?
A quick check of my hard drive reveals somewhere in the realms of 130.
3. Anything you won’t take pictures of?
Professionally, anything outside of my current style. Personally, not really, though I can’t say I’m a fan of shooting weddings. Huge respect to those guys and gals!
4. Tell me about you. Age (if you don’t mind answering), married, kids, do you have another job etc…
25, single, no kids, I have worked at a Chinese Restaurant for the last 7 years+, I put 13 years into music with very promising hopes of success only with a big team it was difficult to manage all the parts logically and financially, eventually losing out to one of the members leaving for military.
Since starting Photography 18 months ago, things seem to be on the up! The blessing of having an industry!
5. What’s your favorite photo you have taken?
I think from the latest shoot we just did it would have to be one of those. It was a 600 mile round trip on 10 hours sleep across 2 days. We setup with an 11 person crew outside and it immediately started raining.
We had to move the entire shoot to the 2nd stage (canceling the outside stage obviously) and I shot portraits in the style of Penny Dreadful / Me. They turned out to be my best work yet. I’ll show you when they get released!
6. Who or what inspired you to take pictures?
Movies, Video games, Conceptual art etc, I also think the biggest catalyst was “failing” at my first attempt in music after 13 years I just had to try something else for once.
7. What do you like to do for fun?
Watch series on Netflix, play video games, create music, mix and master / produce musicians etc. I also love reading and travelling / socializing.
8. Any traditions you do when you finish a shoot?
Not yet, but I’m soon to start giving away Polaroids!
9. so I know you love music…favorite type, artist, what all do you play?
I love all music, everything from Meshuggah to Alison Krauss and Infected Mushroom!
10. Anything you would change about your photography?
If I knew that, I’d change it! 😉
11. What is your dream? Famous photographer?
To be successful enough to have a platform with enough reach to be able to help change the world for the better. I want to help people wherever I can.
12. Where do you live?
The Forest of Dean, England. (UK)
Allergic! But I’d love some!
14. What’s your favorite thing about photography?
The share-ability, you can show it to anyone at basically anytime!
If people want to check out my work I’m currently looking to build my Instagram following!
Joseph, as always thank you for sharing and letting us get to know you better! I wish you amazing success and much happiness!
