Getting personal with Diana Lucretia Stanhope

Not only is Diana beautiful she is also wicked talented. She is truly an amazing woman and one I’m so very proud to call my sister and friend. She writes romance and now has a horror story under her belt. We all know I swear I despise romance novels but I will be honest and tell you I have read her books and they are amazing but if you tell her I will swear it isn’t true. She also threatens to make me a character in one with a green alien lover. When this happens you can hear me scream across Facebook my resistance and her laughing at me. I also call her my super-duper sparkly princess as she loves everything that glitters. She is definitely a gem. I highly recommend you getting to know her and reading her books. Please take the time to do so and support a truly amazing writer and lady. You will love her and her writing. Please welcome Diana Lucretia Stanhope to Roadie Notes….

1. How old were you when you first wrote your first story?
Wrote, ummm, probably in school. I vividly remember telling
stories well before actually writing them. I took great joy in
horrifying people, even as a little one.

2. How many books have you written?

Sixteen so far, I have characters that just won͛t shut up, or it could be a mental disorder, or something in between. There will be
more is really what I wanted to say. I digress. I do that a lot, but not when writing. I like to read and write fast-paced, concise
books. I digressed again.

3. Anything you won’t write about?

Nope. All is fair with love and words. Or some such trite saying.

4. Tell me about you. Age (if you don’t mind answering), married, kids, do you have another job etc…
I͛m old, not like crypt keeper old, but definitely pushing wise
crone age. I am married, poor dear bless his heart. I do have kids, they are grown now, and survived having me as a mother so that͛s good. I even have grandkids! No job, adulting hurts and I don͛t do pain, well, that͛s a lie. Pain can be nice, depending on, never
mind. I don͛t do anything I don͛t want to, that͛s closer to the
truth. Etc… ummm yeah, I͛m pretty shy, but I͛m trying to be better at peopling.

5. What’s your favorite book you have written?

In my Elemental Witch Trials series, part eight, Sweet Suffering, made my beta reader cry, so I dig that and I hope to feed off the tears of all my fans when that one releases.

6. Who or what inspired you to write?

Missing books. I read a lot, a book every few days most of the
time. Anyways, when I was little I used to think, ͚hey this story would be better if, or I wish there was a book about.͛ So, I starting filling in what I saw as the missing books.

7. What do you like to do for fun?

Make people feel awkward. Or crochet. I told you I was an old

8. Any traditions you do when you finish a book?

I sigh deeply and say, ͞Thank f#ck that͛s over.͟ No seriously I love
it. Usually I have a special cup of some fru-fru flavored coffee and
eat too much chocolate.

9. Where do you write? Quite or music?

I write on a laptop, either in my recliner or bed. I must have music
because I have pets, and they make gross noises all day.

10. Anything you would change about your writing?

Change… ummm make it better. That͛s always a goal. I am always
thinking about books and passages that moved me, and
wondering how I can get that same feeling from my readers.

11. What is your dream? Famous writer?

I dream of a beach house and an alpha-male vampire lover, with
wings, claws, and some bite. But then I wake up exhausted
because I am a creepy old lady who has no business with vampires that age.
I don͛t want fame unless there is a way to have it without the
spotlight. I just want a lot of people to enjoy the stories I tell.

12. Where do you live?

Kansas, in a small town. No seriously, this is the kind of small town that horror writers make up.
13. Pets?

Gods yes. I have fur babies. Four dogs (Patches, Fudge, Cleo, ad Lady) and a cat (Sam). Sam thinks he is a dog. Plus, we have fish, but I try not to name them, that seems to be a death curse with fish.

14. What’s your favorite thing about writing?

I get to go on an adventure in my head. It͛s fantastic in there, I
swear, you won͛t want to leave.

15. What is coming next for you?

This year, if all goes well, I should see a title a month. RAWR!
Anything else you would like me to include please feel free to tell me!
I love you. Hearts and sparkles. But not in horror, no sparkles in horror, and no sparkles on my damn monsters.
